happy anniversary

Aric & I just wanted to take a minute to congratulate our good friends Brittany & Jordan on their one year wedding anniversary today!!!  We are forever indebted to them for several reasons--(the main one being for introducing us!)  To Brittany for always being so encouraging and helpful with the whole starting a photography business thing. To Jordan for his wise advice on a variety of topics such as finances, politics, & survival tips on rooming with Dillon Ford. Also for allowing us over to play the Wii, watch movies on the big screen T.V., and cuddle in the ever so coveted "big comfy chair".  You guys are awesome and we're so thankful to have you guys as friends. 

Congratulations!!  and Happy Anniversary!!  We hope to be around for many more!

danielle & andrew | teaser

As promised I have a quick teaser from this weekend's wedding!!  I can't even begin to explain how beautiful this wedding was!  Aric & I had the funnest time hanging out with Danielle, Andrew, and all of their family and friends all day.  The editing process seems slower and slower the more excited I am about sharing our pictures!!  But we will be sharing them soon enough.  As for now...enjoy this one...

sign-in | albums

This has been a very exciting week for Aric and I.  We got to take some friends out to shoot some fun pictures, we got in some orders- (it's just like Christmas around here seeing the pictures in print rather than on the ol' computer screen that we always see them on), we got to shoot a beautiful wedding this weekend (which we will be blogging a few teasers soon!) and one of the more exciting things from this week (and the purpose of this blog post) we got in our very first sign-in album!!  

Before we get started, I must explain how much Aric and I LOOOVE albums and recommend them to every couple/family/senior that we work with.  We include at least one in every wedding package we offer and really we believe albums are one of the best ways to display and share your pictures.

This particular album was designed as a sign-in book.  We left plenty of white space around the pictures for wedding guests to sign their names and wish the couple well.  The coolest part about this is that it's not your ordinary old sign in book that you put away in a box after your wedding is over...you will pull this album out over and over again to look through your pictures and remember your special day along with all the friends and family that you enjoyed spending it with.  

We were so excited once we got this album in the mail that we had a little mini-shoot with it as soon as we got it out of the package--so here's a quick sneak peak at one of the albums we offer! :) enjoy!!

to Midland to shoot a wedding this weekend!!!! we are sooooooooooo excited!!! It should be a blast-- and all of you that are waiting on orders-or more pictures here on the blog--we're working on it I promise!!

July 4th | Teaser

So...it feels like it's been FOREVER.  And we are truly sorry for that.  It's just a busy time.  And we are feeling more like doing NOTHING during our free time, than blogging-but we're gettin back to the normal schedule so hopefully we'll find some time to get all the images we have been working on blogged!  -Aric's friends' weddings, his trip to Chicago for the 4th, plus a bonus batch of some older pictures he has taken--but never edited--from our outing with Brittany & Jordan a few months back, etc., etc. (I edited some for him this weekend so you will be seeing those soon!) And of course a few of the pictures I took this weekend of my adorable/gorgeous/precious (pretty much any word you can use for good-looking people) little cousins.  -Like this one!--

I have my final exam tomorrow--(pray for that A!) So Aric graciously cooked dinner and did some work to let me study for my test. We took a little break to go visit our friend Aaron up at Starbucks, and do the whole coffee shop "thing" where I studied some more and he did some more picture editing. (I've just gotta be the luckiest girl around--i know) Anywho, I got tired of the studying and took a much needed break to help Aric edit...

The past couple of weekends he has been traveling all over to some of his friends' weddings... Now what could be a better setting to break in his new camera than takin' a few pictures while he's there?!

So during my break from studying we did a little tag team--the following (AWESOME) pictures were taken by the main man himself and they were edited by yours truly. : )

We've never really done that before so it was fun! Anyway, I just wanted to share these for now, he's working on a whole batch from all the different weddings and he will post them later on, so come back in a few days for those!

: ) isn't it?!  haha, this would be Abby.  Not my dog. Definately not Aric's dog.  But who wouldn't love this little cutie as their own? Abby is my roommate's dog, and she's just the sweetest addition to our little home--and don't let Aric fool you with his tough guy front, he's totally a sucker for her... Now if only I could get her to look at the camera...I'd have some better photos to show you of her-- maybe next time...
