I've been bugging Aric to e-mail me this picture from his handy dandy iphone for the past couple days and he finally did it today!

I am overwhelmed with joy and humbleness every time I look at this picture! It just makes me smile!

i had a big long blog ready to preceed the pictures I took of my precious little cousin this weekend, but after I had them all together, I figured none of my words were enough to describe how fun and adorable this little rugrat is- I think the pictures do enough- so without any further ado-this is Abby...

My answer was "Yes, yes, yes!" before Brittany could even finish her question... Are you kidding me? I would pay YOU just to bring me along to a wedding!
Shooting weddings has become one of my very favorite things in the whole wide world- so I jump at the chance to be at any wedding- shooting or not- because I simply cannot get enough the atmosphere that surrounds a wedding...
The love, the family, the cake and the dancing--but most importantly the moments... a discreet look, a gentle touch, a long embrace, a sweet whisper, or roaring laughter- those moments are my favorite, those moments make a wedding, and as a photographer-those moments are what I live for...


It's a little nerve-wracking traveling to a wedding with a couple I haven't met before-but from moment #1 I knew I would be welcome, I knew I would love Shari & Dane, and I knew I was going to love capturing special moments on their wedding day...


Shari has one of those smile's that is contagious. She's beautiful, and fun, and real. But overall- my favorite thing about Shari- was the way she looked at Dane. It was a happy look. It was sweet. And meaningful. It was a look I recognized. The look of a girl in love...
And still something was different about the look. Something different about the smile she wore when she looked at him- something different with the tears that filled her eyes as she saw him for the first time on their wedding day- something different in the way they laughed together-something different...


She wasn't just in love with the prince charming that came and swept her off her feet.
Not just his handsome face, his familiar voice, or sweet embrace...
She was in love.
In love with her very best friend.
And it showed...

yes guys! we are actually getting around to editing some of matt & katy's wedding pictures for the blog. I think we got so caught up in pre-editing and finishing up the bridals that we completely lost our brains for a second and didn't take the time to do what we love the most- and that is throw our favorites into photoshop and give you guys just a taste of what their wedding day consisted of! I'll leave more of the details of their story for the real post, but as for now-here's a teaser from their wedding!

so it's officially official. I am SPOILED. I tend to use the word blessed more often, but lately- spoiled seems to be a bit more accurate. who am I?-that I got to attend and second shoot one of the most amazing wedding's of the summer? if just getting to hang out with Brittany wasn't enough- then getting to witness one of the sweetest and most adorable couple's EVER get married was more than just a cherry on top- it was like a triple scooped hot fudge brownie sunday with whipped cream, nuts, sprinkles, and two cherries on top. If I need say more then I have only one word for you- "chucks"!!
Yes-chucks, as in Chuck Taylor the guy who made the Converse All-Stars shoes famous way back when- and now are a trademark of-well-basically- super cool people! (at least in my opinion)

I would explain further...but didn't someone say a picture is worth a thousand words or something like that?...

dublin | texas

that's right folks, dublin, as in dublin dr. pepper!!  I'm here in dublin with Brittany helping her shoot a wedding this weekend and boy are we havin' fun!!  We got in a little earlier today and after checkin' in to our sweet little small-town hotel, we headed straight to the Dr. Pepper plant for one of the famous Dublin Dr. Pepper's.  With sweet tooths like ours, we couldn't help but to opt for a Dr. Pepper float, which was- a little piece of heaven in a cup! :) 

one of my favorite thing's about being a photographer is having the excuse to catch shots of the most unsuspecting people...in this case Brittany at work!  Here are a few shots I got of her doin' what she does best... plus one fun detail shot I got at the rehearsal..

...and working some more!  Sorry for the slow blogging!  I'm in my final week of summer school--HOORAY!! And Aric has been without his computer for a while having some work done-but he just got it back so after this week I promise we will be updating much more often!  :)  We have been working hard on finishing up a few orders, Katy's Bridals, editing Danielle & Andrew's wedding, and getting started on Matt & Katy's wedding, plus we've got a whole list full of new ideas and some fun stuff coming up for you guys so stay tuned for that!  We learned so much at the Free to Succeed tour and can't wait to implement what we learned into our business!!  As for now I'll just leave you guys with a couple pictures from Danielle & Andrew's wedding that we have edited in our downtime... enjoy! : )
